Dr Simon Holliday is looking to recruit a new partner, preferably with a Fellowship, to assist in registrar training.
We would prefer 10 sessions/week but if you prefer part time work, we are prepared to negotiate this. Many of our team have young families and we value work-life balance.
In your role as GP you will provide competent and compassionate primary care services to our patients. This will involve managing patients with a variety of problems ranging from the emergency to the chronic.
We have weekly doctor’s breakfast meetings at a local café for peer support and to discuss clinical problems or to discuss journal articles. Our practice is affiliated with the University of Newcastle for teaching and research purposes.
We are supported by the Manning Hospital, which provides specialist surgery, day surgery, general medicine, critical care, obstetrics, paediatrics, emergency services, oncology, palliative care, rehabilitation, high dependency nursing and mental health. Excellent education opportunities are offered in the area including Public schooling, Anglican, Christian, Catholic or Seventh Day Adventist options as well as a TAFE college. The Manning area has a population of approx. 45,000 and it is 3½ hour drive north of Sydney and 2 hour drive north of Newcastle. Harrington is a growing community nearby with excellent family friendly surfing beaches.
The post commences in February 2019, but we are willing to wait for the right person. If you think the beautiful Manning Valley is for you, please get in touch.
