Position Description

We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, passionate, professional medical receptionist to join our busy team. The receptionist will interact closely with the Doctors, Allied Health Professionals, Nurses and Admin to ensure that the practice provides a consistent quality health service. You will  have excellent customer service skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Hours will range from 7 to 6.30 Monday to Friday, Saturdays 8 to 12.30. The desired applicant will work a miminum 2 days a week and be available for extra hours for sick leave and holidays. 

Our Business: The Medical Centre has been operating for over 20 years, The Practice has 7 GPs, 2 Allied Health Professionals, a team of highly trained nurses and dedicated administrative staff. The practice recently underwent a significant renovation to create a comfortable and professional setting for our doctors, patients and staff. We are also home to several allied health specialists. We believe that taking care of our staff and providing our doctors with the tools and support they require will result in outstanding patient care and customer experience.

Essentials Description

 ·          2 to 3 years’ experience working in a busy Medical Centre of a similiar size

·         Strong interpersonal & leadership skills

·         Professional & personable telephone manner

·         Exceptional customer service skills

·         Proficient computer skills

·         Excellent time management skills

·         Strong Attention to detail

·         Ability to work as part of a team and independently

·         Best Practice software proficient

Desirables Description

Previous experience in a medical centre of the same size would be preferable

Description of Facilities

Broadmeadow Medical Centre was established in 1998. We are a busy centre with 4 Treatment Rooms and 2 nurse consult areas. Currently onsite we have a range of specialty and allied services including a Psychologist, Dietitian, Pathology, Physio, Podiatrist, Skin Clinic and  Women's Health. BMC is a mixed billing service. We run a drop in open clinic as well as having appointment based GP's who require nurse support. We are conveniently located with a large car park and public transport readily available.
