Essentials Description

Our GP practice has some spaces we would love to fill with specialists who would benefit from cross-referral and interaction with primary care professionals. Our administration and nursing teams are second to none. Our rooms are well equipped and we will be guided by you as to the support you require.

Description of Facilities

Our practice was first established around 1926. We are now owned by a local, family who places great pride and value in their amazing practice team. They have run the business for the past 8 years; modernising the site with significant renovation, extension and up to date equipment, maintaining the comfort and charm whilst providing facilities suitable to the delivery of quality care, all the while carefully selecting a great collaborative group of people to make this delivery.

We are fully computerised and Agpal accredited. Our site comprises of 7 consultation rooms, treatment room, nurse room, pathology and a large staff/meeting room .... and a big backyard with an enormous, pre-colonisation tree.

Passionate about the next generation of doctors and understanding of the value of a diverse workload, we are an RACGP Accredited Training Practice, working with RTO GP Synergy. We also maintain a close relationship with University of Newcastle and provide observation/experience opportunities for medical students. 

Our nurse team is a great mix of experience, passion and knowledge and work hard to support our clinicians at every turn. We have close relationships with many local allied health providers including a psychologist, nutritionist and audiologist who work from our rooms. We also host Australian Clinical Laboratories pathology onsite.

We are a private billing surgery with discretionary bulk-billing.

We run a regular schedule of education, practice and significant events meetings to ensure great communication, a collaborative approach and sustainable commitment to consistent improvement. Specialists would be invited to these meetings with no obligation to attend.

Separate but supported by MMC is our charity Healthy Connection For All (HCFA) which is a volunteer GP outreach service for those who may be homeless in our community. HCFA clinics are held offsite.
