Ungooroo Aboriginal Medical Service is seeking a friendly General Practitioner. Flexible days and hours are on offer.
Ideally, we are seeking applicants who are Fellowed, however we will consider General Registration Practitioners who are working towards Fellowship.
Previous experience working in an Aboriginal Medical Service would be highly regarded.
Competent in Women’s Health.
Interest in Mental Health.
Interest in complex chronic disease.
Willingness to work within a multidisciplinary team.
Minor procedural skills including: Mirena, Implanon, skin lesions, and joint injections.
Experience in occupational medicine.
Description of Facilities
Ungooroo is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (ACCHO). Ungooroo GP & Health Services is a not for profit, bulk billed, Aboriginal Medical Service, accredited through AGPAL and endorsed through AH&MRC and NACCHO. Ungooroo is also a registered NDIS provider.
Our clinic is supported by administration, nursing, and Aboriginal Health Workers.
We offer eight consultation rooms for both GP’s and allied health services as well as beautiful waiting room, reception area and ample undercover parking.
We also offer outreach clinics to local schools, and run an outreach clinic in Muswellbrook.
Our other services include; Youth Support and Specialist Homelessness Services, Employment and Careers Support workers, a Café, Mental Health Support Workers, and other community initiatives.
Our practice currently has two Registered Nurses, and two Aboriginal Health Workers.
We provide a holistic approach to healthcare through our partnership with RDN to provide allied health services such as; Physiotherapy, Dietician, Speech Pathology, Psychology, and Optometry.
