Swansea Medical Centre is seeking an experienced Practice Nurse (RN) for a casual position 2 days per week. The successful appicant will enjoy working as part of a team which focuses on the provision of high quality care and preventative health. Applicants must be flexible with hours and be able to assist with covering sick and annual leave when required.
Current Registered Nurse. Previous experience in General Practice is essential. Must have a keen interest in General Practice Nursing which involves multi tasking and skills in a wide range of areas including but not limited to: Preventative Health, Diabetes, Wound Care, Childhood Health including immunisation, Caring for the Elderly and Chronic Disease Management. Must be able to work as part of a team and be committed to quality improvement processes.
Experience with Best Practice software highly regarded but not essential.
We are a large accredited Practice consisting of a team of highly motivated health professionals committed to providing high quality care. We have 8 GP's, 3 RN's and a highly supportive team of excellent receptionists. There are 2 dedicated treatment rooms and 1 nurse consult room which is used primarily for Chronic Disease Management. There is an onsite Pathology service and a dietician.
Position is based on the Nurses Award conditions for a Registered Nurse. Pay rate is above award and will be negotiated according to the level of experience and skills applicable to our Practice.
