Medical receptionist for a small General Practice and student counselling service at the Ourimbah Campus of the University of Newcastle
The Ourimbah Student Support, Health & Wellbeing Unit is tasked with ensuring that staff and students have access to an integrated and coordinated program of health, psychological, and AccessAbility services, and risk management strategies for non-academic matters. This is an excellent opportunity to diversify your administration skillset in this fast-paced role supporting a medical reception environment. Your time will include appointment scheduling, billing and communicating with patients. This part-time 4-month contract will involve 3 days’ work for 21 hours per week including Monday and Tuesday.
Training will be provided for a suitable person with proven strong interpersonal skills and medical or health related administrative experience such as using the Microsoft suite of products and other specialised programs for scheduling appointments, Medical Director, Pracsoft or Best Practice, Tyro and Medicare billing systems. Experience in a general practice including triaging medical priorities is highly regarded. In addition, your skills will highlight your ability for pleasant and calm interaction with this close team, patients, staff and students.
