We are looking for an experienced GP Practice Manager to join a friendly, professional team, to look after the needs of a growing family owned practice. Our surgery is located in the historical village of Lorn.
The responsibilities of this position include but is not limited to:
· Day to day running of our practice
· HR Management – Managing reception staff and 3 part time nurses
· Supporting 2 GP’s – 1 full time, 1 part time
· Liaising with our book keeper
· Leading the re-accreditation process and preparing all relevant documentation
· Responsible for Quality Improvement in the Practice
· Scheduling and coordinating meetings incl. team, clinical staff and practice owners
· Active support of reception duties, as required
· Preparing subpoenas and files for transfer
· Purchasing and stock control
· Liaising with external contractors
· Some PA duties are also required.
The applicant should have:
· Proven multitasking, problem solving and time management skills
· Experience with Medical Software – ideally Medical Director and Pracsoft
· Ability to cover sick leave and holiday leave
· Excellent customer service, verbal and communication skills
· Be able to work autonomously
· Knowledge of Medicare, DVA, Workcover and Private Billings
· Understanding and knowledge of current awards
· Knowledge of Strive for 5 and vaccine management.
