Description
Permanent Full Time or Part Time positions available...looking to employ Practice Nurse(s) up to 38hrs per week in total.
1. Current unrestricted AHPRA Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse registration
- Experience using Best Practice medical practice software.
- Experienced Practice Nurse who has worked with CDM, different Health Assessments, GPMP and TCA
- Proven clinical skills in perfoming ECG, Spirometry, ABI measurements and wound care for patients.
- Motivated professional willing to actively participate in our Quality Improvement processes.
- Current CPR certificate and own current medical indemnity insurance.
- Knowledge of GP accrediation (we have accreditation through AGPAL).
- Qualified nurse immuniser.
- Qualified to perform cervical HPV screening.
- Good communication skills and enjoys working in a small team practice with one GP.
- Interested in engaging in ongoing education related to practice nurse role (this practice pays for all education and time spent engaging in formal education and seminars in or out of hours). Thus if some of the above knowledge and skills are not currently your strengths ...we will support you to make them part of your daily practice nurse credentialled role.
Family Medical Practice @ 2325 is a purpose built medical centre in Nulkaba, a northern suburb of Cessnock. There are three consulting rooms, a minor procedures room, a small clinical room, reception area with enclosed admin room behind it, large patient waiting room (although the large car park at the front of the building is currently being used for waiting), patient toilet, staff toilet and shower room, staff kitchenette and dining room with views to the rear rural blocks. There is currently only one GP although we plan to employ at least one more in the coming year.
Fair employment using the MA00034 2010 Nurses Award in NSW. All staff are paid according to experience and work a six month probation period. Permanent employment (rather than casual) positions offer job security, paid annual leave and public holidays and sick leave entitlements as per Fair Work Act.
Uniforms are purchased for all clinical and non-clinical staff with the our logo on them. Staff have input into uniform choice.
Education related to role in the practice is paid forby the practice.
